Over the last two years, I’ve adopted the practice of choosing a word that will serve as my theme for the year to come. I love this idea so much more than making resolutions. And I’m so glad my business coach, Kelly McCausey, reminded me to share this with you.
When I start thinking about choosing a new word each year, I always want it to be something that encompasses my business and personal life as well. This year, the word jumped right up and chose me. I didn’t even spend a couple of days thinking about it. It was just there, plain as day.
My word for 2015 is “GIVE” and here is what it means to me:
Last year’s word was “Success” and I feel that I did have a lot of successes in 2014. I really love looking back over goals and accomplishments for the year. Besides choosing a word, I also use a simple goal planning sheet for each new year that I keep visible throughout the year. It’s so important to keep looking at those goals instead of writing them down and filing them away.
